Scrying Glass TALES OF THE DYING EARTH: HDK185 Cass (incl. Download)
In Scrying Glass' music, one can discover the whole pallette of the most oblique and neglected pop-rock music: a bit of classic progressive sound by Yes, Gentle Giant and Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, a bit of the 70s sci-fi aesthetics so dear to Tangerine Dream, Eloy and Hawkwind and a bit of jazz-fusion easy listening to give an unfashionable elegance touch. All are presented with deliciously cheap and shamelessly '90s midi sounds!
Tales Of The Dying Earth contains a selection of Heimat Der Katastrophe’s favorite Scrying Glass songs packaged with artwork that is a tribute to the 1940s comic book series Planet Comics and one of its most beloved authors, artist Dan Zolnerowich (1915-1995).
A 32-page booklet with an unpublished retro sci-fi story by Sergio Poli completes the cassette!
All music by Zack Dolin, except track 4, which is a cover of the opening credits music of Cannibal Holocaust (Ruggero Deodato, 1979); composed by Riz Ortolani.
