Sacred Armaments POWERSTRYKE: HDK190 Cass (incl. Download)

Powerstryke is the debut mini-album from Sacred Armaments, unleashing a sonic whirlwind of heroic might and mysticism upon the synth underground

Sacred Armaments plays Powerwave - an obscure electronic music genre somewhere between the realms of Dungeon Synth, Synthwave, and "Sword and Sorcery” movie music scores. For all those who raised a fist to the sky and appealed to the gods for more blood and thunder in their synth music, Sacred Armaments has taken up your quest and will champion your call - armored, red-blooded, and ready for combat! The path ahead may be dark and full of danger, yet we ride under the banner of Valor And Glory, wielding the Bloodhammer, the sacred armament of old heroes, ready to strike with fury and wrath! Great deeds and great doom await; will you join Sacred Armaments on this grim and glorious campaign?

Conceived by Rexor Runestone as an outlet to bind fantasy with reality, Sacred Armaments takes inspiration from Sword and Sorcery fiction from the likes of Robert E. Howard and Karl Edward Wagner, cult 80's movies such as Conquest and Barbarian Queen, the historical works of Norse Sagas and Celtic mythology, and the real world pursuit of hypertrophy and physical strength.

The cassette contains a booklet with a muscular story by the barbaric-synth writer Sergio Poli inspired by the atmospheres of the album and certainly by the aforementioned cult-movie
The Barbarians (1987).
