Aribo POM: #2
In POM we follow two protagonists; Mr. Green who is the human personification of a polluted city and Artichaux who's name and personality comes from the french expression "to have an artichoke's heart".
They live in a monotonous world where emotional outbursts are policed and their job is to hop into the unconscious worlds of their client/designated targets in order to find the source of these outbursts; which materializes itself as pomegranate fruit. Hence the name POM.
In POM Ariana Boot aka Aribo uses a mix of hand drawn, digitally drawn and lino printed illustrations all reprinted in riso with a screen printed cover. The comic is heavily based on the structure of the 60s & 70s underground comix, meaning the reader gets immediately immersed into the narrative without necessarily having any background on the world and characters it's introduced to. The order of the comic is also not strict but does follow a subtle beginning and end.
All three chapters are also available in a bundle here!
