Kastamaton Kansa channels ethereal and enchanting, majestic and melancholic audial atmospheres inspired by many themes in the folklore and history of the area known today as Finland, by ways of neoclassical dark wave, martial and folk music. The name translates as "unbaptized folk" which refers to the subterranean gnomes or nature spirits of Scandinavian folklore.

Regarding current political and ideological climates, Kastamaton Kansa stands firmly against all forms of racism, prejudice, xenophobia, bigotry, fascism, totalitarianism, oppression as well as ideological and religious dogma.
